Matched Pair Mid-Century Modern Ceramic Table Lamps c.1960 — Cobalt & Emerald Glaze with Original Shades

A rare and complete matched pair of mid-century modern ceramic table lamps, dating to approximately 1958–1968, offered with their original barrel drum shades. Finding a pair of this quality intact — bases, hardware, and shades all matching — is increasingly uncommon.

The large bulbous amphora-form bases are finished in a richly textured cobalt blue and emerald green drip glaze, a jewel-toned palette that defined the most sophisticated interiors of the late 1950s and 1960s. The tapered walnut or teak wood neck transitions elegantly from ceramic body to socket, while the original brass ring foot grounds each lamp with quiet authority.

The original barrel drum shades in natural burlap/linen are trimmed with a period geometric medallion band in teal and gold — a detail that ties the entire composition together and speaks to the care with which these lamps were originally designed and sold.
